Roasted Paprika Potatoes with Caraway seeds in Ukrainian folklore dish is a delightful culinary creation with roots deep in Ukrainian tradition. This flavorful and aromatic dish harmoniously blends the earthy notes of caraway seeds with the rich smokiness of paprika. Each potato is expertly roasted to achieve a perfect crispiness on the outside, while maintaining a tender and fluffy texture inside.
Yield: 12 servings x 125 g each portion
Ingredients:
1.5 kg baking potatoes, peeled and cut into wedges (weight after potatoes being peeled)
3 teaspoons caraway seeds
2 teaspoons paprika spice
1 teaspoon ground white pepper
2 teaspoons sea salt
6 tablespoons of sunflower or olive oil
Instructions:
Peel the potatoes. Rinse them well. Drain and let dry.
Cut each potato into 6 wedges. Don’t place them in the water.
Toss the potatoes in the oil and all the spices.
Arrange in an even single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake at 400°F or 205°C until the potatoes are tender, about 45 minutes
Serve immediately with you favorite meal such as Chicken Kyiv
